Border-radius: make rounded corners with CSS3!

I found this article showing one of the new aspects of CSS3. It's really awesome for it simplifies a process in a sweet way that can be a pain in the ass for us web designers. That's making rounded corners on our sites to make them all nice and polished and very web 2.0 and such. Before we had to reserve special space at the corners and let out images do the talking. Rocky's Replay Website Design and Development

Hey there! Jose here. I've got some pretty awesome news!

I will be designing and developing the new website for Rocky's Replay in Orlando, FL. For those of you that do not live in Orlando, FL, Rocky's Replay is a rare gem of and establishment that many individuals love to go to. To date Rocky's Replay has been a simple arcade to which teens and young adults can go and hang out. Their previous place sold alcoholic beverages and one was allowed to smoke inside, making is a very laid back place. Though ever since Rocky's Replay has moved to their new location they were no longer able to sell their alcohol nor have indoor smoking, thus hurting the laid back feel and prominently the sales of the place in general.

But fear not, lovers of Rocky's Replay, for they shall soon get back on their feet once more! Rocky's Replay is once again relocating, but it's to a better place. The bar will come back along with the homey laid back feeling once again and even more. The new Rocky's Replay will be bigger and better than what you can imagine. It shall no longer be just another game arcade. Be on the lookout for updates soon to come.

I have the great opportunity of designing and developing the new site for the new Rocky's Replay. It's in the making as we speak and it's going to be fantastic! Add Static Grafix on Facebook and Twitter too keep up with the updates.

Quick and Easy Flash Music Player

I found a sweet open source, free and customizable flash player for you guys. Instead of using that boring, dull, gray qucktime player that can sometimes bring down to quality of your webpage (so web 1.0), you can use this nice clean and polished totally web 2.0 player. It comes with parameter instructions and different players for single songs of multi. I used it for my web site and it looks pretty consistent and works well with the page. New to web design and having trouble building your structure with div tags and css rules? You are probably in the stage where you doing your web design in tables still and that's a comfortable place to be. There is still room for tables as well as div tags and css in web design you just have to know when to use either one in different situations.

Here's a video I got from helpvid's youtube account and it may help some in your web designing needs pertaining to div tags and css and how they work together to build a page. I hope you find this video helpful.

HAL 5 Robotic Exoskeleton

HAL, or Hybrid Assistive Limb, is a powered exoskeleton suit currently in development by Tsukuba University of Japan. There are currently two prototypes, HAL 3 which has bulkier servo-motors and only has the leg function, and HAL 5, which is a full-body exoskeleton for arms, legs, and torso. HAL 5 is currently capable of allowing the operator to lift and carry about five times as much weight as he or she could lift and carry unaided.

It operates by sensing weak electrical impulses from muscles via electrodes on the operator's skin and sending them to the onboard computer which in turn analyzes them and activates corresponding servos of the suit, mimicking the wearer's motions. The whole suit is powered by a 100-volt battery attached to the operator's waist.

No audio in this one but still informative.

The first run, to be sold in Japan, is planned at 400 units and you can be your own personal Iron Man for about $4200 when these things start rolling off the line.
